Golden Meetings Road Map
A Habitation Without Walls!
Ephesians 2:19-22
Supplemental to:
Letting the Lord be the Head of His Church
The Lord said, “I give you boundaries so you can find ME!” When the Lord dealt with me about writing this Road Map for meetings, He showed me a basketball game in two connected rooms in which this group had the ball and scored in both rooms. The main thing is, the opponents never touched the ball. I was told to write down for others how we do it.
To understand the scene, both rooms represent Golden Meetings with the destination room representing being “In Him.” Our opponents are mainly our own flesh and the enemy of mankind and His cohorts. We have to control our own flesh to stay in the ...”boundaries so you can find ME!
The Bible says the Old Testament is our school master. The Lord used the Temple layout to help teach us. Here is the scripture you will be fulfilling when you learn how to have Golden Meetings. Golden Meetings establish a habitation for the Lord. Remember the Priests walked into the Lord when they entered the Holy of Holies. However, this is a habitation without walls!
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household (corporate body) of God; 20 And are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building (corporate body) fitly framed together grows to a holy temple (corporate body) in the Lord: (He said He is the Meeting) 22 In whom you also are built together (corporate body) for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
The following should basically be performed weekly with one or more people (especially leadership), in addition to regular meetings. It is something to strive for and if something goes wrong don’t bring focus to it, just go on following the Lord the best you can.
In the truth of the matter, if we were to know
we were going to see and enter into the King of Kings, we would be preparing ourselves long before we get to the meeting.
We meet in the first of two rooms, the first part of the meeting representing the outer court. We enter the room and wait for others to arrive. If we have to talk, it is done in whispers and the conversation should only have to do with something about the meeting. Pen and paper for each person is provided. This is so each person can record anything they receive. Shoes are taken off. This is because of entering into Holy Ground, an act of reverence.
After every one has arrived we symbolically go to the Laver, number two. Here is where we get rid of our agendas. Very important! The idea is to cleanse ourselves of the things of the world and prepare our minds to be able to be silent and listen. We start listening for His agenda. Sometimes we pray for people who reveal to us they are having problems preparing. Sometimes God gives instruction and things to do in this room, such as a song(s). It’s always to prepare us in some way to enter into Him. In this we are moving towards and into number three.
Number three is the Holy Place (still in our first room) and this is where we establish symbolically that we are collectively a single person, as the Lord’s Bride. The Lord taught us to circle up tight in the physical and stand silent as one person. The Lord has been seen with His arms around this circled body, loving on us as one person. (The Lord said, ”Acts are important!” Remember, faith without an act is dead.)
Number four is the altar of incense. In the Temple the Priests had to go past the altar of incense to go into the Holy of Holies. The Lord revealed the incense going up is the “silence” we put on His altar. He also revealed it is warfare. Silence can easily become sacrifice as you will learn. The Lord also revealed silence is necessary to enter into Him because of His perfect Holiness. Corporate silence is achieved in the Holy Place before we enter into the Holy of Holies, into Jesus (our second room).
Corporately we try to enter (our) second room, "In Him," as one body by making sure everyone is ready to go in at the same time, no stragglers. This also goes for when we leave this room. The Lord revealed there has to be a cut off and we do this act by leaving after He reveals we are to leave when the meeting is over.
In this room the Lord has the agenda and we do whatever He says or reveals to do, in His order and nothing more! There is never a set pattern. He may have us sing, do corporate warfare or just stand silently, and in any order. Intimacy can occur in this room. We respond correctly when spoken to. Carefully, we can ask a question on something He has already brought up. (See site for more understanding.) The key is to listen, listen, listen. I don’t know how many times the Lord said those words to us over the years as He taught us about meetings.
Warfare actions are always done “Fusion” style as one person (see Fusion article). Even if you are a single person having a meeting and the Lord says to dance before Him, do it! It’s warfare for you, or His purposes. We don’t need to know why! We are as children in following Him.
This is the Lord’s meeting and He conducts His business as He deems necessary. He told us we had a job to do and part of that has been what He has had us do in these meetings. He has told us when to rejoice, when to jump for joy, when to have our spirits leap and so on. He has told us to rejoice without any hype.
If your group has any size the Lord may establish a particular person to approach Him on His throne for the agenda, to avoid chaos among the people. This does not mean others will not receive things. Simply write it down for the meeting afterwards.
After we leave the room at the Lord’s direction it is like going back out into the court yard. We then gather for a meeting to discuss what was given to everyone. We go over the “In Him” meeting. This is something the Lord said to do so we can learn. Discussing things is best when fresh.
More information:
The Lord told a person to just make one side of the room the start room and the other side of the room the “In Him” side. The main thing is to get the Lord’s agenda and have silence, along with obedience! We are to speak when He says to speak, otherwise write it down. The Lord told a person He had done much in their silence! (Read about the Battle of Jericho on the site for understanding.) This is all a learned thing and no one will really understand all of it until they have experienced it. It’s boot camp for us. The Lord said, “You take care of My business and I will take care of yours!” Golden Meetings have to do with Kingdom business.
Returning to the basketball scene at the beginning we see we can do things correctly so our flesh doesn’t get ah old of the ball. The acts and boundaries all have a tendency to bring everyone into one mind while making ... for a habitation of God (the Lord) through the Spirit.
The Church must learn this; the Lord deserves it!
Concerning this writing the Lord gave these words, “justifiable” and “lucrative.”
For information on fusion, intimacy, and testimony on how all of this was learned and demonstrated to be true, read the Golden Meetings and Marriage Feast sections in the Boot Camp index on the site. www.takehisheart.com
